Our son, Charlie, was a great rugby player with huge aspirations that were realistic when you listened to the words of his coaches. However, his weakness was found in his habits. He was not focussed academically and his self-discipline was lacking.
When we moved him from our local Lichfield School, our lives changed. Charlie was immediately enveloped by the Chase Grammar ethos which gave him a fresh start with a renewed focus on his academic abilities.
When he entered in year ten, his confidence in his own learning was reignited by his teachers who constantly seemed to be fine tuning his needs. This generated the positive progress he needed to finally gain strong GCSE results. Charlie truly believes that he would not have been prepared for A-levels, and might not have even been considered for A-levels without the surge of learning experienced at Chase Grammar. He is now following his dream, attending one of the highest achieving rugby academies in the country. Alongside this he is studying Maths, Economics and Business Studies at A-level, with confidence.
