Expect to Achieve | Excellent Results at GCSE and A Level
At Chase Grammar we promote our five 'Expect to Achieve' guidelines to support students with their learning. These are as follows-
1. Be prepared, positive, proactive and ready to participate
2. Extend and enrich yourself
3. Communicate clearly
4. Be considerate and kind
5. Make the right choices
Each student at Chase Grammar is also assigned a dedicated Academic Mentor who meets with them every morning.
Regular one-to-one tutorials take place in this tutor group, focusing on academic progress and individualised pastoral support. Students are trained to develop the skills of self-assessment and target setting by working closely with teachers and senior staff, as they progress from “Bronze” to “Silver” and “Gold” on our personalised monitoring system.
In Year 13, Chase Grammar School students meet weekly with senior academic mentors from the Leadership Team. This close dialogue enables us to focus students on every important detail: choosing the right university courses; extending themselves through reading, independent study and work experience; writing personal statements, improving time management and utilising effective revision strategies.
